Stedin will purchase several services from NEO in 2021. These are 'Solar panels on the map, the TreeBase service and the Pavement Monitor'. These information services provide Stedin with up-to-date information on its entire area, which helps in planning work and estimating costs and risks. The insights also help to make choices in the context of energy transition.

Solar panels on the map is a service that displays all solar panels in the Netherlands. With information on locations of the panels (the address) and orientations and estimated power, it provides a good insight into developments in local energy generation.
The BoomBasis service includes all trees in the Netherlands. For a grid manager like Stedin, but also for other infrastructure managers or groundwork contractors, trees and their root systems are an important factor to take into account for the safe location of cables and (gas) pipes.
With the Pavement Monitor, we provide insight into the type of paving throughout the Netherlands, both in public spaces and in gardens and yards. For Stedin (and other soil excavators), it is interesting to know this for planning and cost estimation of work that requires breaking up and repairing paved surfaces.
