Monitoring of exotic species and pests

Connecting observations and images with AI helps in pest management

Diers, plants and micro-organisms entering a new area can cause damage. Also, due to drought, climate change, etc., native and alien species get a chance to develop into a 'pest'. Sometimes this requires intervention by the manager and sometimes NEO can help.

We can monitor and sometimes interpret vegetation development using observations outside. For example, we provide information relating to pondweed in the Randmeren lakes, duckweed in all kinds of watercourses, Sea Ceek on the salt marsh, the Large Water Pennywort, Japanese Knotweed on dykes, etc.

If you have any questions or want to know if we can also highlight your problem in this area, please contact Lotte ten Harmsen van de Beek  or use the contact form.
