NEO is developing a database that includes all buildings in the Netherlands. This will involve a combination of BAG and BGT content, but other objects detected by NEO itself will also be added. The addresses are of course an important part of this database as they allow the data to be linked to other information, for example on solar installations and habitation.
A new method has now been developed for classifying addresses. In this method, addresses from the BAG are also assigned to neighbouring outbuildings based on a set of logical rules, using, for example, plot boundaries. Addresses of outbuildings can be assigned even if there are several buildings on the same plot. In order to properly address even the last buildings, we still need further sleuthing, but we need less and less manual work.
