Trainee at NEO: Ingrid Kras

I am Ingrid Kras, a final-year archaeology student at Leiden University. In the course of my studies, I specialised in the use of geographic information systems within my field. These systems allow us to map landscapes and perform analyses that help us detect possible archaeological sites. To broaden my knowledge in this field, I am currently following the minor in geoinformation at the VU. Since October, I have been doing an internship at NEO, which I will join until the end of the year. During my internship, I am working on the project around detecting yellowing disease using satellite data. I enjoy putting my skills into practice and hope to gain a lot more knowledge on analysing remote-sensing data during my internship.

In my spare time, I like to go abroad to visit historical sites. Last summer, for instance, I visited Georgia and Azerbaijan. I am also currently taking the conservation and restoration minor in which I study materials and restoration techniques.

NEO captures objects from above and monitors changes smartly and accurately. In doing so, we create data and insights that directly contribute to your challenge.

Curious what that will bring you?
