The talk of the day: fattening rules ditches

"Dry and wet ditches along plots."

Dutch locks have been the talk of the day in recent weeks, as reported on NOS 'Manure rules farmers unclear because maps of ditches are incorrect'

Because buffer strip width affects the manure placement area on a plot and depends on the ditch type (dry ditch with 1 metre buffer versus 3 metres for an aquifer ditch), map information must be reliable. NEO uses current earth observation data to improve map information of ditches.
