0.5-metre mosaic for all of the Netherlands now available in the Satellite Data Portal

As part of the satellite image processing project for the National Satellite Data Portal (SDP), NEO is producing natural colour orthomosaics with full coverage for the whole of the Netherlands. The first 2020 mosaic created from SuperView images from the acquisition period from 1 March to 15 April is now available on the Satellite Data Portal website. The file is available as an RGB band combination with 8-bit pixel depth in .tif format, in a 50 cm resolution.

The exceptional weather conditions during the acquisition period ensured that we were able to create a near-cloud-free VHR product with great added value for agricultural monitoring applications, change detection in urban areas and vegetation detection in watercourses.

The next mosaic for the acquisition period from 16 April to 31 May will be available to Satellite Data Portal users very soon.
