As part of my course, I have been studying earth observation techniques and spatial data analysis methods with different software packages. The growing importance of the field of geomatics, and the insights offered by spatial analyses, convinced me of the value of learning more about earth observation and wanting to work in this industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to put these lessons into practice during my internship. I have worked on several projects, including using artificial intelligence to classify vegetation and point out changes to buildings. I have also been involved in analysing calibration and validation data for the purpose of change detection within land use, from detection of agricultural crop harvests to recognition of new construction projects.
