So that our clients, from municipalities to underground infrastructure contractors, can rely on reliable and up-to-date information. With the latest update of our Bomb Data, we are taking a clear step forward in this.<\/p>\n<p>We take you through what has changed, and more importantly, what you notice about it in services <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neo.nl\/en\/tree-base\/\">Tree base<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neo.nl\/en\/tree-risk\/\">Tree risk<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>All of the Netherlands up to date again with latest elevation model<\/h2>\n<p>The main basis of this update is the addition of the latest AHN6 height model for the eastern part of the Netherlands. Whereas this area was previously still running on older versions (such as AHN4), this part of the country is now also provided with the most up-to-date and finely grained height information.<\/p>\n<p>What does that mean concretely?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Higher point density<\/strong>: it simply measures more.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Higher resolution<\/strong>: smaller objects and details are better perceived.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Completeness<\/strong>: areas where trees were previously missing are now visibly included.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With this update, the tree dataset for all of the Netherlands has been brought back to one level.<\/p>\n<h2>Multi-stem detection: individual trees truly individual<\/h2>\n<p>A second, equally important improvement is the introduction of our unique multi-stem detection. Whereas previously only one trunk was recognised per tree crown, we can now detect multiple trunks within one crown.<\/p>\n<p>This seems like a technical detail, but the impact is huge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tree crowns encompassing multiple trees are now correctly interpreted.<\/li>\n<li>Tree positions are more accurately in the right place.<\/li>\n<li>The dataset is more complete and realistic, especially in densely forested or urban areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For Tree Base users, this simply means: a more reliable tree database. For Tree Risk, the added value goes a step further.<\/p>\n<h2>Better tree data = more accurate tree risks<\/h2>\n<p>More strains detected also means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More distinct root zones.<\/li>\n<li>A more accurate assessment of potential tree root risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Especially for contractors and operators of underground infrastructure, this is essential. It reduces surprises in implementation and supports better decision-making at the planning stage.<\/p>\n<h2>Additional value for historical analyses<\/h2>\n<p>The update offers not only more detail in the present, but also more depth over time. For the eastern part of the Netherlands (including Gelderland, Overijssel, Drenthe and Groningen), an additional measurement moment has now been added.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, we can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct historical analyses with more measurement years.<\/li>\n<li>Track changes in trees and environment better over time.<\/li>\n<li>Underpin projects with more consistent comparables.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>When do you notice this?<\/h2>\n<p>The new dataset is currently being merged with the central database and will be fully live within a few days.
