Boombasis is an information service on up-to-date tree information of all trees in the Netherlands. NEO has been providing the data since 2015 on behalf of the\u00a0Cooperative Tree Register<\/span><\/a>. The dates are constantly updated. This is necessary too, as trees grow, are pruned, planted and cut down.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

For Tree Base's up-to-date tree information, we use earth observation data such as aerial photographs, satellite images and lidar. In the free viewer<\/a> you will find data on tree crowns, (diameter, shape, height) of our more than 125 million trees. On the API, more information is served and you can analyse the data, etc. for a fee. By answering a few questions, we calculate what the cost of using the API will be for you and you can place the order.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

When (re)designing public spaces, trees play a major role. Trees have a positive influence on cooling, water management and health. However, municipalities often lack data that provides sufficient insight; regular data are not updated, incomplete or do not contain the necessary information. Tree counts based on numbers often do not give the full picture. With TreeBase, a count based on crown area or crown volume can be done. The tree manager is also looking for a way to carry out the work in a more focused way; Tree Base helps to pick out the situations to be inspected.
\nWith Tree Base, NEO gives officials access to a dynamic file that retrieves insights into tree location, height and size (crown diameter, crown volume). Boombasis contains data in the Netherlands for both public and private spaces. The data service is accessed via API that allows the user to receive every update immediately and to retrieve the data in the desired format.
\nThe trunk position of a tree determines whether digging damage occurs and who owns it. For this, it cannot simply be assumed that the trunk is the centre of the tree. With point clouds, earth observation data and AI, the tree is imaged with BGT accuracy and mutations are accurately
