Job description

Earth observation is changing the way we tackle society's biggest challenges. Geo-information provides the insights that enable smarter and more sustainable decision-making in countless sectors. Our company was born out of a merger of four leading earth observation companies (NEO, eLEAF, Sensar and 52impact). This joining of forces brings new demands on our infrastructure and our ability to rapidly process large geospatial datasets. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking for a GIS Specialist To join our team.

You will work closely with a team of specialists on impactful and technically challenging projects for both public and private clients. Using Earth observation and other data sources, you generate insights that contribute to informed decision-making. An important part of your work takes place within the environmental domain.

You are independent, analytical and a real team player. You communicate clearly, take initiative and recognise opportunities and bottlenecks in time. You like hands-on work, have a strong interest in innovation and want to contribute to the further growth of our organisation.

Knowledge and skills

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Thorough knowledge of geodata
  • Experience with QGIS
  • A creative, "out of the box" way of thinking, with a focus on results
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages (oral and written)
  • At least two years of working experience in the GIS field

A plus (but not required) if you also have:

  • Knowledge of remote sensing
  • Experience with:
    • FME
    • Postgres/PostGIS
    • Python programming
  • Experience with optical satellite data
  • Experience with statistical analysis

This is a specialist role. Our ideal candidate has an education in Geo-Information Science or a similar field.
